Michaela Jedinak donates one of her red signature dresses for the London Press Club Ball Auction!

      • Michaela Jedinak donates one of her red signature dresses for the London Press Club Ball Auction on Tuesday 13th October 2015 at The Victoria & Albert Museum (V&A)
I wanted to ask for your support at the London Press Club Ball this October. This famous charity fund-raising event raises essential funds for the Journalist’s Charity, founded some 151 years ago, with Charles Dickens among the founding members and Queen Victoria as its first Royal benefactor. Generations of patronage from the Royal Family continue to this day with HM The Queen as is its current Patron.

Their aim is to work tirelessly to help journalists and their dependants in difficulty: whether brought down by ill health, economic hardship, infirmity or sheer bad luck. The charity looks to support those in need whether in their own homes or in one of the highly regarded nursing or residential homes.

On Tuesday 13th October 2015, at the V&A, the ‘titans of Fleet Street’ will assemble (editors, proprietors, senior journalists, top executives, programme makers, star columnists, TV and radio broadcasters) to help raise funds for this charity at the annual London Press Club Ball. Quite simply, this is the major social event of the year for the British media – in print, online and on air. Last year HRH The Countess of Wessex was guest of honour at the evening along with London Mayor Boris Johnson and Lord Rothermere, proprietor of the Daily Mail and its associated titles, and president of the Journalists’ Charity.

Jaguar Land Rover is once again the major automotive sponsor this year and other key regular partner sponsors include Barclays and easyJet, with others soon to be officially announced.

All of the major UK national newspaper groups support this event as media partners.

Sporting soprano, Laura Wright, will be performing on the night of fund-raising and fun which will include a champagne reception, a vital fund-raising auction and raffle, and after-dinner dancing.

Auction and raffle prizes – from ‘money can’t buy’ experiences that could raise thousands of pounds each to a variety of more modest yet imaginative items that will raise equally vital funds - are all an important part of mix in keeping the vital funds rolling in.

Please share the link below with all of your contacts and encourage people to get bidding on your fantastic dress and the many other prizes available.
